So, you’re at home probably wondering: what’s new this season? How do women want to dress? Which are the fashion feelings and thoughts for this Autumn that’s just knocking on our doors?
This 2017 Fall is all about having glam and comfort together, being determinate and self-confident, trusting color blocks and celebrating individuality of style.
There are multiple trends waiting to be worn at the moment. We’ve watched the fashion shows all over the world that inspired this new season and adapted the styles to the BOAW girl. From the typical glamorous 80s woman to the boxy oversized suits, there’s definitely stuff for every taste.
Statement dresses are for sure a must on this season. With or without patterns, dresses are easy to put on, easy to take off, and there is definitely no such thing as too much when it comes to the dress department. Pleats, feathers, strong or neutral colours, cut outs, bold details, sequins: anything goes.
Neutrals are as well a trend for this season. Who said wearing neutrals is playing safe? Nudes, white, even soft pastel colours are something to bet on this Fall. And, of course, the forever loved black.
Suits are as well one of the biggest statement pieces for this Autumn/Winter and are good to go with pretty much everything. Patterned cozy knits underneath or just plain tops, boots, oxford shoes or some basic pumps for a classic workwear style.
Suits are a way of showing woman's independence and strength through strict structuring seen lines and oversized shoulder paddings that fulfilled the world's catwalks this year, from Céline to Stella McCartney or Jill Sander.
80s Glam were the last styling trend that we absorbed from this year FW fashion designers (and that we totally adore here at BOAW). Besides, it's no news that fashion is a cyclical process.
The more the time passes the more timeless it gets. When it comes to wearing 80s statement items and inspired styles, the word "outdated" loses it's complete sense.
As said previously for the suits, this year is all about extreme shoulder accents, crazy prints, colour blocking and big flowing skirts.
Be sure to keep your eye out for our first Autumn/Winter collection dropping in store very very soon!
